It's Time For A Spot Of Tea...And To Dry Off

Since the three of us were completely hung over, we figured it was a good day to check out London's huge Harrod's store.

By the time we finally left the hotel, the rain stopped and the sun came out, and we decided to walk and stop by Buckingham Palace first since it was on the way.

Where's the queen??  Oh wait, we're right here.
But once we were done and on our way to Harrod's a thing happened.

Uhhhhhhh

The skies opened up and started to cry on us.

Then it was time to check the map, in the rain.

Almost there buddies...only a couple more blocks!
And ofcourse because we had no umbrellas with us, by the time we got there, we were soaked.

Here's the thing...
As soon as we walked in, I was quite overwhelmed. This isn’t like walking into Macy’s. It’s room after room after room, with no end in sight.

Because we were starving (like always) we found our way to the HUGE food area. I seriously felt like I died and went to heaven. This place was amazing. There were a ton of different sections each specializing in different foods.

We found this café and decided to have afternoon tea there. It was veryfancy.

It came with scones, sandwiches which included smoked salmon and cream cheese, ham and cheese, cheese, cream cheese (I think it was cream cheese) and cucumber and others.  And fancy desserts.

Veryfancy at tea.
The tea was delicious….and it’s a law here you must drink your tea with your pinky extended. If not, you get in trouble.

We’re very fancy...or something.

Boned-Henge

It may come as a huge surprise or not but we are having a rough morning, it is about noon and we are still not moving...

Bookie might still be drunk because all he wants to do is do the dishes...

Jeff is also still drunk and is currently sitting in the corner giggling to himself saying "I don't want to go to Stonehenge I want to go to Sconehenge!"

And I am not still drunk because I was drinking beer for most of the night unlike the 2 stooges who were drinking cocktails all night.

Unfortunately I have come down with a severe cause of Drinking Pneumonia (shut up, it's a thing! Google it! Except don't because it's not really a thing, what?)

The only positive is that even George ended up with a hangover, which made Jeff and Adam happy.

Thankfully Mother Nature is helping us out because it is pouring cauts and dougs, that is how they spell cats and dogs here, so we can't go to Stonehenge...

Even if we wanted to, which we don't, good night or good morning, ugh!

Attack of the Deviants!

I mean really!?! Of course they picked me to die at the Dungeon, but if I was going to perish I am glad I had the best death.

We made a quick stop home and then stumbled over to Soho to meet up with James and George the Deviant for dinner and "a drink" (which is a cousin of "one drink" apparently)

James was one of my best friends at Uni and I was so happy that I finally got to see him...

We met up with James and a bunch of his friends at this bar called the Yard, it is also impossible to find!

Everyone was super friendly, even this guy Dan who might have been making fun of me for working on Jersey Shore...

I don't blame him. My friend Holly from Uni also made a quick appearance...

It's been really great to see all my old friends from School, I made some really amazing friends over here.

After drinks we went with James and George to a nice little English restaurant where the night took a turn for the worse, in the form of 4 bottles of wine...

It seemed like a good idea at the time...

And of course it was George the Deviant who ordered more wine...

And it nearly killed Bookie...See!!

After drinking the restaurant, we ended up and some crazy ass bar down the street with Barbie dolls glued to the ceiling...

From here the night went into fuzzy territory, so here is a photo essay...

We looked like a respectable group...

Well except for George whose horns appeared halfway through the night...

Adam really wanted to dance and James was NOT having it...

But these two crazy people were dancing the night away...

So Adam had a lovely dance with them...

I was a little confused and thought it was time to leave the Barbie Graveyard bar...

Jeff agreed, what?

We went to the next place called Friendly Society, well it should have been called Drunken Society and or Betty Ford which is where we belong...

Jeff was confused by the entrance...

James was not and clearly he is on a catwalk...

Jeff wanted one more drink...

NYO Bad Evil English Jeff!

This picture pretty much sums up the night, blurry, no one looking in the same direction and George the Deviant drinking...

But it has been so great to catch up with these boys, they are off to a Gambia soon for a 3 year post, perhaps an African Safari trip is in order soi can visit them...

By the end of the night, Jeff was perishing so we stumbled down the road to get something to eat...

Because this is what you do at 2am on a Thursday when it was supposed to be a mellow night...

Now we are off to perish...

As the plan for tomorrow is to see Stonehenge except I'm pretty sure we drank it at the last bar, F and also Euro Blam!

Dungeon Calling

After our lovely tour of the Tower Bridge and its ensuing areas, we trekked over to this place:

As I was researching places to go, this thing had a "hit or miss" factor that was sort of bugging me.  Their website kind of made it seem like a smaller version of Universal's Citywalk at Halloween--there are rides and walk-throughs and various other shenanigans that could either be terrible, or amazing, depending on the execution.

Luckily for us, it was amazing.

Immediately upon entering, I found my soul mate:

I saw him FIRST, Bookie!  GET Awaaaaaaaaaaaay!

I was already excited about this place...I love haunted houses and the like....

...Keith, however, might have been less-than-enthused.

"Wish you were here."

He also didn't much care for the fact that just as we were entering the main part of the dungeon, they made him pose for this photo.

Say "Beheaded!"

Once we got him re-headed™...

It was time for the big tour which, unfortunately, didn't allow flash photography.  And since it was pretty dark in there, most of the photos look like this:

But the place was really fun.  It had a series of actors telling stories about things like medieval torture devices, Sweeney Todd and Jack the Ripper.

They also were keen on picking on audience members.  I got hauled up by a judge in a white powder wig for being an American.  "You, with the furniture on your face.  Get up here," he shouted.  As you can see, this was one of the few moments of happiness for Keith:

There were also a number of terrifying rides through the darkness, including one on a boat...

No dancing skeletons on the boat, please!

...and a shooting gallery ride that has you firing a weapon at the undead that are coming after you after a seance-gone-wrong.  This one was particularly terrifying, as it made you feel as though there were rats and things crawling under your feet and ass.

Bookie and I loved it.

And once again, Keith did not.  The further into the tour we got, the more the audience was getting harassed.   And so, when we wandered into one of the bigger rooms, Keith quietly announced: "I'm going to stay safe and stand right here in the middle."  Of course, he didn't even get the sentence out before the crazy host woman pointed directly at him and forced him to the stage.

This was the room where they show you what it's like to get burned at the stake.  Keith was being charged with "crimes against humanity (apparently, they've read the blog...) and since I knew that if he made it out alive, Keith was going to do much, much worse to us than anything we've seen on this horror tour.  And so we shouted:  "BURN HIM!"

Welcome to hell, Burke...

And so, Keith officially got EuroBlammed:

And we'll never see him again.

Or...
